France is deploying more than 10,000 personnel to provide security for the UN Climate Change Conference which opens in Paris on November 30.

Around 150 heads of state or government are expected to intend COP21 for at least the opening day. The country's interior minister, Bernard Cazeneuve said that 8,000 police officers were being deployed on France's air, land and sea borders to vet people entering the country.

In addition, 28-hundred paramilitary Gendarmes will be providing security at the COP21 site, just north of the capital. All public demonstrations and gatherings are currently banned in France under the terms of the "State of Emergency" laws put in place after the recent terror attacks.
