Properties: 

Ferrotitanium is mainly used to add titanium to steel in steel making and foundry. Titanium can 

improve the abrasion resistance and tensile strength. Ferrotitanium is the vital material which is 

used to produce block chain steel, anchor chain steel, shipbuilding steel, stainless steel, electrode, 

and electrical, military products etc.

Application: 

In gray iron a small percentage promotes graphitization. Titanium is highly reactive in 

steelmaking and combines readily, and forms stable compounds, with carbon, oxygen, nitrogen 

and sulfur. Because of it's reactivity, it may be used to fix these elements, reducing or eliminating 

their sometimes harmful effects.
