Description: 

Ferro Manganese is the one of main raw materials used for steel makers, it has several grades 

according to Mn or Carbon content. According to the carbon content, ferromanganese is divided 

into three categories: Low-carbon Ferro Manganese: carbon is less than 0.7%; 

Mid -carbon Ferro Manganese: carbon is not more than 0.7% to 2%; 

High-carbon Ferro Manganese carbon: not more than 2% to 8%.

Low/Midcarbon Ferro Manganese used as an important kind of alloying constituent to be widely

 applied to alloy steel, such as structural steel, tool steel, stainless and heatresistant steel and 

abrasion-resistant steel.

Highcarbon Ferro Manganese is the deoxidizing agent which is usually used in steel making. 

It also has the performance that it can desulfurize and decrease the harmfulness of sulfur. 

So when we make steel and cast iron, we always need certain account of manganese.
