Properties: Bright yellow or brown yellow, with excellent pigment performance, high tinctorial strength and covering power, equal tinctorial strength as massicot, good resistance to light and atmosphere and foul gas, a specific gravity of about 4, particle diameter 0.3-2 micron, good light-fastness and strong alkali resistance. Soluble in hot strong acid, with high heat resistance, the loss of crystallization at temperatures above 150 ℃, resolve into red ferric oxide pigment.
Quality Standard: Fe2O3 content ≥ 86%, ≥ 80%, water-soluble matter 0.5%, tinctorial strength 100-105, PH value 5-7, screen residue (325-mesh) 0.3-0.5, moisture ≤ 1%, oil absorption 25-35%, and color hue approximates to the standard sample.
Applications: It is applied for paint-making in the coating industry, and used as an colorant of man-made white marble grinded with cement, wall whitewash, cement floor, floor tile watercolor, oil paint and leather finishing agent, and as an intermediate of ferric oxide series pigments for manufacturing iron oxide red, iron oxide black and so forth.
