Low Iron glass

The Low Iron Glass is a group of extremely clear glass with minimal green cast. High light transmission and brilliant surfaces make this glass ideal for coloured glass applications, frameless glass installations such as shower doors, glass doors and glass table tops.Our low-iron glass is perfect for applications where clarity is a primary consideration,such as storefronts and display cases. When you look at normal plate glass, you notice a greenish cast. This is especially evident in thicker pieces of glass. While this is generally not objectionable, there are applications ?such as tabletops, storefronts, display cases and trophy work ?where clarity is important. That's where low-iron is clearly preferable. It is also the glass of choice when the greenish tint of regularplate may interfere with a special interlayer ?a white rice paper for example. Low ironglass is manufactured for exceptional clarity.It can be fabricated, tempered, and laminated like typical plate glass, giving it a broad range of decorative and functional applications. As a stocking distributor, we offer low iron glass in thicknesses ranging from 3/16" to 3/4".
