PTFE Adhesive Tapes

PTFE Adhesive Tapes are fiberglass fabrics impregnated with PTFE dispersion and coated with a high-temperature, silicone pressure-sensitive adhesive. The silicone adhesive coated products have a continuous operating temperature range between -70° C and +260. PFET coated tapes provides an excellent release surface for a diversity of industrial applications requiring high temperature, electrical resistance, mechanical strength, and fire retardancy.

Properties:
- Good holding property at elevated temperatures and dimensional stability.
- Superior mold-releasing and sliding properties.
- The non-adhesive side exhibits excellent characteristics of PTFE such as electrical properties, resistance to heat, weather, chemical, and water (water-shedding), and non-adhesiveness.

Applications:
- PTFE Adhesive Tapes are most frequently used in heat sealing applications within the packaging industry for covering sealing jaws on L-Bar sealers for shrink films, easy release surface on heat sealing and packaging machines, ironing and pressing equipment, heat sealers for polyethylene and cellophane films, on blister, and film equipment. In these applications, non-stick properties and fiberglass' durability adds to long life and trouble free operation.
- Within the aerospace industry PTFE Tapes are used as glass breaker tape, heater cable and wire harness wraps, and as mold releases.
- The electrical industry uses these tapes for armature winding, cable wrapping, and splicing as well as spacers and slot liners
- Other applications include covering drying cylinders, lining chutes, release surface on bonding toolsguide rails and everywhere you require a highly slippery surface.
