Main Application and Features

The grinders are mainly used in metallurge, rubber, and printing machine industry, for grinding the working rolls and support rolls of various large-type rolling mills and for grinding metal, or non-metal pressing rolls of various pressing machines.

It can grind cylindrical surface, conical surface, roll surface, roll neck, convex, concave sine curve, parabola, are, CVC curve, and the roll surface whose curve is defined by users themselves.

Germany SIEMENS CNC 6-axis system is adopted for respectively controlling the carriage reciprocation (axis Z), wheelhead plunge feed cycle (axis X), wheel eccentric swinging feed (axis U), auto measuring (axis X1, X2), measuring of wheel wear and rapid approaching (axis X3).

It has the functions for controlling the wheel rapidly approaching the workpiece, generation of various roll-surface curve, grinding of taper surface, end infeed, taper error compensation, wheel wear compensation, curve error compensation, constant peripheral velocity, and constant power.

It is equipped with auto. Measuring device, which can measure the workpiece diameter, cylindricity, roundness, concentricity, roll surface error. The measured datum can be feed to CNC grinding program for auto compensation. Meanwhile datum will be printed.

All the grinding procedures can automatically be carried out in accordance with the edited program and the set operating parameters.

The wheelhead is driven by DC motor at infinitely variable speed.

Both the wheel spindle and eccentric sleeve run in high-pressure hydro-static bearings, lubricant tank with constant-temperature control.

Both the wheelhead and carriage guideways are provided with hydro-static lubrication.
