Description:
Wenge veneer, also called panga panga veneer, originated from the southern regions of Tanzania and Mozambique in Africa, is a hardwood veneer mainly used for high quality furniture surface making and high-end interior decoration.
Wenge veneer is dark brown in colour, with fine, closely spaced, very dark veins and white lines. The combination of light bands against the dark wood with black streaks gives Wenge veneer a very attractive appearance and colour variation between flitches is moderate.
The grain of Wenge veneer is fairly straight to slightly roey and the wood is coarse in texture.
Applications:
Wenge veneer is a product applied to the surface of the furniture to give it the appearance of being made of solid wenge lumber. It is also commonly used in surface of the door, and also know as interior decoration, etc.
