As a part in pretreatment of reverse osmosis system, activated carbon filer utilizes the adsorption of active carbon to purify water. Carbon powder has a high absorption. When the raw water passes downwardly through the laver of activated carbon the chlorine, color, odor and organics are absorbed by the activated carbon media and produces color, odor and organics free pure clear filtered water. Activated carbon filter can protect RO membrane from being damaged by free chlorine and remove the off-tastes and odors, thus improving the water quality and taste.
Activated carbon filter is widely used in water treatment of food, chemical, electric power industry.
