Application: Erbium Oxide is an important colourant in glasses and porcelain enamel glazes. High purity Erbium Oxide are widely applied as dopant in making optical fibre and amplifier.
Preparation:After Nitric acid or sulfuric acid and the erbium-doped alkali solution make the reaction, after separation, derived from burning.
PROPERTIES:
Pink powder. Insoluble in water, soluble in acid. Density of 8.64. Melting point 2378 °C. Boiling point 3000 °C.
APPLICATIONS:
For making red fluorescent powder for color TVs. rare earth trichromatic power-saving lamps and long persistence phosphor etc.
