Porous stone pressure gauge snubbers are designed to dampen pressure pulsations to enhance gauge life. They have no moving parts, thus are completely reliable to 1000 psi. They can be piped together in pairs for certain applications where severe pulsations exist. The coil syphons are required for use with gauges on steam lines, and are designed to form a barrier of water in the coil, preventing steam from attacking the bourdon tube solder joints.
