Reasonable price, good size for the home cook. The pestle has a substantial handle that, with some modification, makes it easy to use without tiring the hand too much. As delivered, the wooden portion had a sharp point on it from the lathe. After some judicious carving and sanding though, it's comfortable to use.
mortar and pestle set for just over a month, and I've used it a couple of times a week to grind spices.
