Bellows expansion joints in pipelines, ducting & vessels which carry hot or cold fluids or which are exposed to large variations in temperature is a major problem confronting designers, consultants & users.
As the metal temperature increases or decreases the dimensional changes due to thermal expansion or contraction creates excessive stress in piping, ducting or vessels, large forces & stresses are transmitted to anchors & connected equipments.
