High voltage shunt capacitor is mainly used in the A.C. powersystem with 50Hz or 60Hz to improve power factor. The performanceconforms to GB 3083.2-89 <High voltage shunt capacitor> andIEC60871-1787.

- Capacity tolerance: -5—15%
- Loss angle tangential value: film and paper tg <=0.08%, filmmedium tg <=0.05%.
- Withstand voltage: it can afford AC2.15 or DC4.3 times ratedvoltage between the capacity pales, last about 10s without break orflash, BIL: 6KV(30KV), 10KV(42KV).
- Free discharge: it has the inner resistance, 10 min aftercutting off the power supply, the residual voltage will reduce to75V from Un.
- Max. voltage: 1.1 times rated voltage, it can not exceed 8hours each 24 hours, 1.15 times of rated voltage, it can not exceed30mins each 24 hours, 1.2 time rated voltage, it can not exceed5mins each 24 hours, 1.3 time rated voltage, it can not exceed 1min each 24 hours.
- Max. Current: running smoothly under the 1.3 time ratedvoltage, over voltage, capacity positive tolerance and harmonicwave which can not 1.43 time rated current.
