Single turn TCL-3 Laminar ring are used as grease seals for plain and roller bearing to provide protection against the in gress of dust and environmental moisture. The combined OLC or ILC ring sets optimize the sealing through the increase labyrinth effect.
Contray to the Sing-turn TCL3 laminar rings , Double-Turn TCL5 & TCL6 laminar rings offer higher clamping force when installed in the bore or on the shaft, are suited for higher operating speeds have 360'(no axial gap)contact and should be used where application donditions are more sever.
One typical application is where amounts of dirt and dust are present and the ring sets provide the necessary seal against contamination from out side elements Double-Turn laminar ring sets and also used to protect contacting radial seals, rubber seals O-rings and other oil seals
