Gigalight’s mechanical optical switch provides channel selectionbetween one input fiber and two output fibers. With a specialdesign, the component uses a movable prism and a mirror toimplement its switching functions. The switches have hermeticpackaging which provides high reliability and qualify GR-1221-CORE.Directly mountable on printed circuits boards, the Gigalight’smechanical optical switch is equipped with status contacts toprovide an electrical readout of the switch position.
