Cold work die

Cold work die is mainly used in manufacture of moulds pressing on the workpiece under cold state, such as cold punching mould, cold stamping die, drawing die, stamping die, extrusion die, the thread pressing die and powder pressing die. The range of cold working die steel is very wide, from various carbon tool steel, alloy tool steel, high speed tool steel, high speed tool steel to powder and powder of high alloy die steel. Cold work die steel is vacuum degassing refined steel, with pure essence, good machinability, significantly improved cuttability. What’s more, its good hardenability provides it from hardening crack under most circumstances, and with good wear resistance and toughness it can be used as stainless steel and high hardness materials for punching die.

Hot work die

Hot work die steel is mainly used in manufacture of moulds pressing on the workpiece under high temperature condition. Such as: hot forging die, hot extrusion die, die casting, hot forging die. Common hot die steel are: alloy die steel of middle or high carbon content, Cr, W, Mo, V and other elements added. Sometimes austenitic heat resistant mould steel high alloy is used to forge personalized hot work die steel.

Plastic mold

Due to the diversity of plastic types, the requirements for plastic products are greatly differentiated, thus there come with various performance requirements for the materials used in the manufacture of plastic moulds. Therefore, many developed countries have formed a very wide range of plastic mold steel series, including carbon structural steel, carburizing type plastic mould steel, pre hardened plastic mould steel, hardened plastic die steel, corrosion resistant plastic die steel, free cutting plastic die steel, hardened plastic die steel, maraging steel and mirror polishing plastic mold steel, etc.
