Description:
Burners are the gas grill parts responsible for providing heat to cook food. Most are made from cast iron, aluminized steel or stainless steel. The burner is hollow with gas outlet ports and inlet holes which are controlled through the grill's control panel. Some grills have only one burner, although dual burners are also common. The H-shaped burner is the most common style, although you'll find oval, figure-8, bow-tie and bar burners in our selection of grill replacement parts. High-end grills may also have three or four separate burners, called pipe, rail or tube burners.
Burners are often the first part to wear out because they are subjected to high heat and food drippings, which causes corrosion. These grill parts can last for 1 to 5 years although corrosion or rusting eventually causes gas to escape.
