Tips for Use
- Inspect your chain hoist on a regular basis. The hooksand chains should be in good working order and free of breaks andnicks. If the chains are damaged in any way you should halt movingany object until repairs are made.
- Learn how to attach all items to the hoist properly no matterwhat their weight is. It may not matter if a load of trussfall but some items can be damaged easily or cause damage tothe floor and people around when dropped.
- Always keep the path of the hoist clear if it is on a movingbeam.
- Don’t run chain hoist on the lowest position. Thisposition increases the stress on the chains and could cause theobject to fall if the chains break.
- Familiarize yourself with how to use it.
- Follow a regular maintenance schedule and inspect your hoistoften. Make sure that the hoist is well lubricated to ensure smoothperformance.
