The main physical and chemical properties of polypropylene are as follwings:
1. Conformation
The vertical section is smooth and straight while the cross section is round, making it easy to clean.
2. Density
Due to its quite low density (0.91g/cm3 ), it provides a relatively large specific surface area.
3. Elongation property
Because of its high elongation property and initial modulus, PP has a good anti-abrasion performance.
4. Acid and alkali resistance
It has a good chemical erosion resistance except for concentrated nitric acid and caustic soda.
As for industrial filtration, it mainly used in the low temperature and humid working condition.
