The RAC name goes well with a safety device such as the 05 GPS, and fortunately its features mostly live up to the branding. The headline act is the 1,296p “Super HD” video resolution, although there's a 21:9 extra-wide option too. There are safety camera warnings via the PocketGPSWorld.com database, and a host of additional safety features. Not all of these are enormously useful, though, and the bundled viewing software leaves a lot to be desired. However, video quality is excellent.
